AtlasOA Product Roadmap

Building the outcomes assessment platform that institutions actually need. Here is the 2025-2026 build sequence and the future enhancements currently under review.

Based on feedback from college presidents and institutional leaders: The roadmap below is built directly on conversations with academic administrators about what assessment tools have failed to deliver. Each item solves a specific, documented pain point.

Q4 2025: Foundation and Proof of Concept

Q4 2025
1. Dummy Data and Demo System Shipped July 2026
Try AtlasOA without LMS integration or exposing real student data.
  • Pre-built sample datasets (Security+, Automotive, Community College multi-program)
  • One-click demo loader on login page
  • CSV upload interface for your own data (without integration)
  • 7-day demo session timeout
  • "Convert to Free Trial" button to start real account

Why: Removes the "prove it works with my data type" objection. Prospects can evaluate immediately.

2. Faculty Onboarding Playbook Shipped July 2026
4-week structured guide that frames assessment as teaching improvement, not compliance.
  • Week 1: Frame it right (email template from department chair)
  • Week 2: Do one outcome together
  • Week 3: Closing the loop (the turning point)
  • Week 4: Celebrate the win (show improvement)
  • Common objections and responses included

Why: Addresses faculty buy-in problem directly. Most assessment failures are adoption failures, not tool failures.

3. Real-World Pilot In Progress
Complete assessment cycle at a technical college using realistic dummy data.
  • 3 course-level outcomes, 20 dummy students
  • End-to-end assessment workflow: define outcomes, assess, aggregate, close the loop
  • Document findings, curriculum change, and verification plan
  • Published as case study for marketing

Why: Proof that assessment drives actual curriculum improvement. Other vendors don't have this.

4. CSV Import Templates Shipped July 2026
Downloadable templates for outcomes, assessment data, closing the loop, and competency frameworks.
  • No proprietary format. Standard CSV that any institution can populate.
  • Import without Jenzabar or LMS integration.
  • Available at atlasoa.com/resources/csv-templates
5. Website Updates Shipped July 2026
New pages and resources for prospects.
  • atlasoa.com/demo (Try Now button, sample data loader)
  • atlasoa.com/learn/case-studies (pilot results)
  • atlasoa.com/resources/csv-templates (downloadable)
  • ROI calculator (interactive tool showing time saved)

Q1 2026: Core Features and Multi-Department Support

Q1 2026
6. Universal Competency Framework System Shipped July 2026
Define or import competency frameworks from any source, then align course outcomes to competencies.
  • Create new frameworks manually or via CSV
  • Map outcomes to competencies (introduces, develops, demonstrates)
  • Report: "Students in [program] demonstrated X% of [competency framework]"
  • Works for IT, automotive, construction, racing, nursing, business, etc.

Why: Solves multi-department problem. Technical colleges teach toward specific certifications (CompTIA, ASE, NIMS, etc.). This makes that alignment explicit and measurable.

7. Closing-the-Loop Narrative Generator Shipped July 2026
Automatically generate HLC/SACSCOC-ready closing-the-loop narratives from assessment data.
  • Accreditor-specific templates (HLC, SACSCOC, MSCHE, NWCCU, WSCUC, ACCJC)
  • Pulls outcome statements, rubric descriptions, aggregated data, and closing-the-loop records
  • Export as DOCX, HTML (print to PDF), or plain text
  • No manual editing required (or minimal)

Why: Faculty spend hours writing narratives. The data is already there. Generate it automatically.

8. Multi-Cycle Trend Analysis Shipped July 2026
Track outcome performance across years and show whether improvements actually happened.
  • Year-over-year charts and comparison tables
  • System reminds: "You said you'd measure this outcome in Fall 2026. Did you?"
  • Verification workflow documents actual impact

Why: Closes the loop on closing the loop. Institutions document not just activity, but impact.

9. Jenzabar Direct Integration (Phase 1) Phase 1 Shipped
Read grades and enrollment directly from Jenzabar JICS database.
  • No manual export/import from Jenzabar
  • Automatic student roster and grade sync
  • Convert letter grades to rubric scores (configurable)
  • Read-only (does not write back to Jenzabar)

Why: This is a MAJOR differentiator. No other vendor offers direct Jenzabar integration. Huge for technical colleges.

Q2 2026: Advanced Features and Strategic Advantage

Q2 2026
10. Early Intervention Alerting Shipped July 2026
Alert success coaches when student outcome performance drops below threshold.
  • Set thresholds per outcome (e.g., "scores below 60% = flag")
  • Real-time alerts to success coach, instructor, optional student email
  • At-risk dashboard for tracking and logging actions
  • Re-assessment shows improvement tracking

Why: Shifts assessment from "annual retrospective" to "continuous predictive." Catches at-risk students while they are still in the course, not after grades are posted.

11. Advanced Accreditation Reporting Shipped July 2026
Generate complete evidence packages for each regional accreditor.
  • HLC Criterion 4.B workflows
  • SACSCOC Standard 8.2 evidence packages
  • MSCHE Standard V templates
  • NWCCU, WSCUC, ACCJC support
  • Export as complete ZIP or individual PDF/DOCX

Why: Accreditation visits require evidence. AtlasOA generates complete, ready-to-submit packages.

12. ABET and Specialized Accreditor Support Shipped July 2026
Extended support for ABET, AACSB, CAEP, ACEN/CCNE.
  • ABET outcome-to-criterion mapping and rubric scoring
  • AACSB assurance-of-learning workflows
  • CAEP education prep outcome templates
  • Nursing-specific outcome and reporting templates

Why: Some institutions have specialized accreditors alongside regional accreditors.

13. Course Evaluations and Surveys Shipped July 2026
Run end-of-term course evaluations inside AtlasOA instead of a separate survey tool.
  • Reusable evaluation templates and per-term campaigns
  • Anonymous single-use response links, one per student per course
  • Per-course and per-instructor results with DOCX and text export
  • Five-response suppression threshold so individual respondents cannot be identified

Why: Student feedback is assessment evidence. Keeping it in the same system as outcomes data means it lands in the same reports instead of a spreadsheet nobody opens.

Atlas K-12: The Separate K-12 Program

Sibling Platform

Atlas K-12 is its own program for K-12 districts, built and maintained by AtlasOA, LLC alongside AtlasOA. It ships on its own cadence; here is where it stands.

Platform-Wide Security Review Shipped June 2026
Full audit of school and district boundaries, SIS integration safeguards, and data handling. Every finding closed and independently verified.
SIS Integration Coverage Shipped July 2026
Nine new integrations via the OneRoster 1.1 standard (Aspen, Focus, Genesis, eSchoolPlus, SchoolTool, Blackbaud, FACTS, Rediker, ProgressBook), verified against vendor documentation, joining the existing PowerSchool, Skyward, Aeries, Synergy, Infinite Campus, Ed-Fi, and OneRoster connectors. Systems without a public API get a guided CSV/SFTP import path instead of a dead end.
Complete Technique Catalog Shipped July 2026
Every fresh install now seeds the full research-backed intervention technique catalog across all four pillars.
Microsoft Entra Single Sign-On Shipped July 2026
Staff sign in with their existing Microsoft work accounts. Standards-based OIDC with full token signature verification, verified in a live tenant. Single-tenant, disabled by default, enabled per deployment.
Ahead for Atlas K-12
  • Assessment and screener imports (NWEA MAP, i-Ready, Renaissance STAR, and more; CSV first, APIs where vendors offer them)
  • REST API with OpenAPI 3.x documentation
  • LMS integrations (Canvas, Moodle, Blackbaud LMS partners, and more)
  • Family-facing report generator, then a scoped guardian portal
  • Compass AI longitudinal pattern detection and NCII catalog expansion
  • PostgreSQL backend option (shared with AtlasOA)

Philosophy Behind This Roadmap

Schools do not need more software. They need fewer problems.

This roadmap is intentionally built to:

Every item on this roadmap solves a specific problem that college presidents and institutional leaders have named. If it does not solve a real problem, it is not on the roadmap.
